Nielsen India Signs MoU with Maharashtra Govt, Creating 1,100 Jobs in AI and Data Science

The Government of Maharashtra, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth INR 450 crore with Nielsen India at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos. The agreement aims to boost the state’s IT and ITeS sector by generating 1,100 new jobs in specialised technical fields such as AI, data science, and analytics.

The MoU was signed by Karthik Rao, CEO of Nielsen India, and highlights Maharashtra’s strategic push to establish itself as a global leader in technology and innovation. This investment is expected to enhance the state’s capabilities in developing data-driven solutions, supporting its vision for technological advancement.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office shared the news on social media, emphasising the state’s role in fostering innovation and positioning itself as a key hub for the IT and ITeS industries.
