Healthcare hiring platform Jobizo has raised $1.4 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Alkemi Growth Capital. The company plans to use the funds for its expansion plan, which includes creating 1,00,000 jobs in India and 3,000 abroad within the next 18 months.

Besides permeating six to eight Indian cities and global markets, the additional capital will be utilised for product enhancements.

In 2022, Jobizo secured $500,000 in seed funding from AROA Venture Partners, which helped the company drive 500% growth. The platform has already facilitated over 20,000 job placements across India and international markets, filling more than 10 million job hours.

In a joint statement, co-founders Naveen Trehan and Avishek Agarwal said, “This investment allows us to expand Jobizo’s reach, enhance our platform’s offerings, and strengthen the team. By bridging the skills gap in the global healthcare sector, we aim to provide more flexible job opportunities for qualified professionals.”

Alka Goel, investment partner at Alkemi Growth Capital, highlighted Jobizo’s disruptive potential in healthcare hiring. She said Jobizo is redefining talent recruitment by embracing technology. This way, it connects employers with skilled medical professionals.

AI for Hiring

Interestingly, Capterra’s Job Seeker AI Survey suggests that 62% of job seekers believe they have a better chance of being hired if AI is used in recruiting and hiring processes, and 70% feel AI is generally less biased compared to humans when evaluating candidates.

With AI-powered solutions, Jobizo is also streamlining recruitment, reducing hiring timelines, and offering healthcare organisations access to a verified talent pool. The company’s long-term goal is to facilitate over 40 million job hours, ensuring hospitals and healthcare facilities can meet workforce demands efficiently.
